Oshkosh Corporation Foundation
Scholarship Program
Application status: Closed

Oshkosh Corporation Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist children of team members who plan to continue their education in college.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Oshkosh Corporation Foundation Scholarship Program must be:

  • Dependent children* of full‑time Oshkosh Corporation domestic employees.
*Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S. and plan to attend school in the United States.
  • High school seniors who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year (gap year students are encouraged to apply).
  • Children of officers and executives are ineligible.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $1,500 award. Up to thirty (30) awards will be granted.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Recipients can receive a lifetime maximum of $6,000.

Renewal of awards is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study. The student’s eligibility for renewal is not dependent upon continued parental employment with Oshkosh Corporation.

Awards are for undergraduate study and may be used for qualified expenses (tuition, fees, books, and required supplies) only.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in May.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Oshkosh Corporation Foundation. Payment is made in August.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record.
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities.
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives.
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances.

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or team member of Oshkosh Corporation play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately.

Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.
