OSI Group Scholarship Program

OSI Group, LLC has established a scholarship program to assist employees’ children who plan to continue education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the OSI Group Scholarship Program must:

  • Children of active, regular, full-time employees of a participating OSI Group, LLC who have a minimum of one (1) year of employment with the company as of the application deadline date.
  • Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Statement of goals and aspirations
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation.

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of OSI Group, LLC play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.  All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in late May.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of OSI Group, LLC. Payment is made in early August.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $1,500 award. If enough qualified applicants apply, one award is to be given each of the following locations:

  • Amick Farms – Batesburg, South Carolina
  • Amick Farms – Hurlock, Maryland
  • OSI – Corporate – Aurora/Barrington, Illinois
  • OSI – Racine – Chicago, Illinois
  • OSI – Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin
  • OSI – Geneva, Illinois
  • OSI – Oakland, Iowa
  • OSI – Riverside, California
  • OSI – West Chicago, Illinois
  • OSI – West Jordan, Utah
  • OSI – Ashland, Chicago, Illinois
  • OSI – Major, Chicago, Illinois

If no qualified applications are received from a location, an “at-large” award will be granted to the next highest qualified applicant from the pool of applicants.

Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than April 8, 2021 3:00 pm CT.
