The Oxford Club Scholarship Program

The Oxford Club has established a scholarship program to assist dependent children or grandchildren of Oxford Club Members and community members who plan to continue their education at accredited two- or four-year colleges, universities or vocational-technical schools in the United States.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to The Oxford Club Scholarship Program must be:

 

  • Dependent* children or grandchildren, age 25 and under, of Oxford Club Members
    *Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee/member

          OR

  • Community Members

          AND

  • High school seniors or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates, who plan to enroll in part-time or full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)

Award Amounts

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 award.  Up to 2 awards will be granted.

Awards are one-time only.  Past recipients may not apply.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, financial literacy essay, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal. Financial need, as calculated by Scholarship America, must be demonstrated for the student to receive an award.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America and The Oxford Club. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in February. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of The Oxford Club. Payments are made in August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following document(s):

  • Current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course, and term in which each course was taken.

Also as part of your application, one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf.

Your application is not considered complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
