Pathways Scholarship Program

Seasons Healthcare Management has established a scholarship program to assist employees and eligible dependents of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards for this scholarship are granted to eligible recipients without regard to creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the Pathways Scholarship Program must:

  • Be dependent* children, age 24 or under, of full-time SHM and its affiliates employees who have a minimum of one year employment with the company as of the application deadline date
    *Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • OR
  • Be a full- or part-time employee of SHM or its affiliates, with a minimum of one year employment with the company as of the application deadline date
  • AND
  • Be high school seniors or graduates or current college undergraduates or graduate students
  • Plan to enroll in part-time or full-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the upcoming academic year

Executive officers and children of executive officers are ineligible.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Statement of goals and aspirations
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Seasons Healthcare Management play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,000 award. Up to 25 awards will be granted.

Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate, graduate, vocational and certificate study.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in June.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Seasons Healthcare Management. Payment is made in early August.

Financial Literacy Support

Award recipients will be sent Quick Start Guide email to register for WhichWay app with access to the
following modules for a one-year cycle:

  • Understanding Basics of Budgeting
  • Achieving Goals
  • Creating and Maintaining a Budget
  • Paying for College
  • Understanding Credit
  • Obtaining Credit
  • Applying for Financial Aid
  • Managing Credit Cards
  • Managing Student Loans While in School
  • Managing Debt
  • Repaying Student Loans

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

Also, one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than May 10, 2021 3:00 pm Central Time.

Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.
