The Pentair Scholarship Fund assists children of Pentair employees worldwide to pursue postsecondary education in college and vocational programs. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin.
Applicants to the Pentair Scholarship Fund must be:
*Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
Pentair offers two types of scholarship awards:
Recipients will represent international locations, if qualified applications are received.
All awards are renewable up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first.
Scholarship renewal is contingent on satisfactory academic performance, continued parental employment with Pentair, and the continuation of the scholarship program by Pentair. Students receiving need based awards must continue to show need at renewal time, as determined by Scholarship America, or the award will be adjusted to a $2,000 merit award. If a parent discontinues full-time employment at Pentair, the student is no longer eligible for Pentair scholarship awards. Scholarship America will send renewal forms to scholarship recipients in December each year.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of past academic performance, leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, statement of career and educational aspirations and goals, and unusual personal or family circumstances. Once scholarship recipients are selected, financial data is reviewed to determine the amount of each award.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Pentair play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Pentair. Payments are made in July.
Applicants will be notified in late March. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
