We have established the Pepper Employees’ Children Scholarship Fund because we recognize the importance of education beyond the secondary level and we understand the increasing cost of further education. Our scholarship fund provides for new scholarships and honorariums for undergraduate full-time or part-time study at an institution of the student’s choice.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the Pepper Employees’ Children Scholarship Fund must:
Children of Pepper owners are not eligible.
Applicants will be notified in April. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of J.W. Pepper & Son, Inc. Payments are made in early August.
Financial need will be considered in determining the amount of the award. Potential full-time or part-time student recipients who demonstrate no need will be eligible to receive a honorarium of $2,000. The maximum amount for a two- year or vocational-technical school recipient is $2,000.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does J.W. Pepper & Son, Inc. play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than March 25, 2025 3:00 pm Central Time.
After assigning a recommender, an email invitation will be sent to your recommender. Make sure to follow up with them to confirm they received the email invitation. Email firewalls and spam filters often block emails from unknown senders. If they cannot find the email, direct them to the sign-in page at https://start.scholarsapply.org.
Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically through the Scholarship America Student Hub.
