Pershing School to Work Scholarship Program
Deadline to apply: April 30, 2024 3:00 pm CT

Pershing has established a scholarship program to assist Pershing School to Work Scholarship Program participants who plan to continue their education in college or vocational-technical school programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Pershing School to Work Scholarship Program must:

  • Be participants of the Pershing School to Work Scholarship Program as of the application deadline date.
  • Be high school seniors who plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two or four year college, university, or vocational-technical school no later than the fall term following the award selection.
  • Maintain satisfactory performance according to the employee rating sheet and continued employment until the conclusion of the Pershing School To Work Scholarship Program.

Award

One (1) award of $2,500 will be granted to the selected recipient.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time undergraduate course of study and continuation of the program by Pershing LLC. If there are no participants of the Pershing School to Work Scholarship Program, no new award recipients will be selected.

The award is for undergraduate study only.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in June.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Pershing LLC. Payment is made in early August.

Recipient Selection

The scholarship recipient will be selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Financial need will be considered. Recipients must demonstrate need of $5,000 or greater.

Preference will be given to applicants pursuing a degree in a field relative to business, management, finance/accounting, or technology, provided qualified applications are received.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Pershing LLC play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than May 3, 2024 3:00 pm Central Time.

Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.
