Pitney Bowes Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.
Note: You must be an active employee of Pitney Bowes working 30 hours or more per week at the time scholarship is awarded in June 2021.
Syncsort Employees: Syncsort employees are not eligible for the Scholarship Program in 2021. If your dependent child was awarded the James L. Turrentine 4-year scholarship in the last four years, the Company will continue to pay out the remaining balance of the scholarship. If you have any questions, please contact Pitney Bowes at vendormanagement@pb.com.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $1,000 to $3,750. Awards will be granted based on applications received.
Evaluation information and one set of the student’s application materials will be forwarded to the Pitney Bowes Scholarship Selection Committee.
Selection of recipients is made by the Pitney Bowes Scholarship Selection Committee. Financial data is reviewed to determine the awards. Recipients whose parents choose not to supply the requested financial information will be eligible to receive a minimum award only. All applicants agree to accept the decision of the Pitney Bowes Scholarship Selection Committee as final.
Applicants will be notified in late June. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
Scholarship America processes James L. Turrentine scholarship payments on behalf of Pitney Bowes Inc. Payments are made in one installment in early August. Checks are mailed to each recipient’s home address and are made payable to the student and employee parent.
Also as part of your application, an online recommendation must be completed on your behalf by 3:00 p.m. CT on February 11, 2021.
Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
