Applicants will complete one application for consideration for all the scholarship funds under The Pittsburgh Foundation Fox Chapel High School Scholarships.

Applicants will apply to The Pittsburgh Foundation Fox Chapel High School Scholarships. One common application is completed to apply to any of the below funds. Applicants must meet the following criteria and the criteria of one or more of the scholarships listed:
- Be a United States citizen or permanent resident
- Be a graduating high school senior at Fox Chapel High School
- Be enrolled in or plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-or four-year college/university, or vocational-technical school in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year
- Certification programs must be through an accredited institution and must run on a standard academic semester calendar. Certification programs must be a minimum of one semester/term in length and applicants must be enrolled at the time awards are disbursed in August
- Have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent), unless specified otherwise

Conroy D.Guyer Memorial Scholarship
- Minimum 2.0 GPA
- Preference given to applicants pursuing a degree in (majoring in) Art, Drama, Music, or Creative Writing
- Preference given to applicants who demonstrate financial need
- This award is renewable three times or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, based on maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent, and full-time enrollment

Fox Chapel Area Education Aspinwall Women’s Fund
- Be enrolled or plan to enroll in an accredited four-year college or university
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Be pursuing a degree or studies in Fine Arts including art, music, drama, communications, theater and/or dance
- Demonstrated participation in extra-curricular activities
- Preference given to applicants who demonstrate financial need
- This award is not renewable

Fox Chapel Area Education Fund/Craig Shondeck Memorial Scholarship Fund
- Minimum 2.0 GPA
- Demonstrated participation in extracurricular school and/or community activities
- Preference given to applicants who demonstrate financial need

- An estimated 2 award(s) will be granted for undergraduate study only
Fox Chapel Area Education McAuley Fund
- Minimum 2.0 GPA
- Be pursuing a degree or studies in Business- or Technology-related fields
- Financial need is considered but not required
- Demonstrated commitment to community service and academic achievement
- This award is not renewable
- An estimated 1 award(s) will be granted for undergraduate study only
Fox Chapel Area Education Scholarship Fund (The Ed Boyle Scholarship)
- Be a member in good standing of the soccer team
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Financial need is considered but not required

Fox Chapel Education Fund/Nancy Jane Edelman Scholarship Fund
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Be pursuing a degree in broad Math, or Physical/Natural Science (Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Physics) fields. All majors/focus areas that relate to math or science are encouraged to apply
- Preference given to applicants who demonstrate financial need
- Preference given to applicants who plan to teach math or science in public school

James Randy Tipe Scholarship
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Preference given to applicants who demonstrate financial need
- Demonstrated commitment to the three core values of Fox Chapel Area School District: respect, responsibility, and integrity
- This award is renewable three times or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, based on maintaining a cumulative 2.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale or equivalent, and full-time enrollment.

Awards
Total distribution and the amount of each award for each fund shall be determined by The Pittsburgh Foundation.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Notification
All applicants will be notified in late June.
Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of The Pittsburgh Foundation. Payment is made in early August.
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
- Academic performance
- Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
- Work experience
- A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
- Unusual personal or family circumstances
- An Essay: How have you reflected the district’s three core values (respect, responsibility and integrity) during your years as a student in the Fox Chapel Area School District?
Financial need, as calculated by Scholarship America, will be considered but may not be required.
If an award requires or prefers applicants who demonstrate financial need, a one-time honorarium award of $2,500 may be granted.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of The Pittsburgh Foundation play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

- Student name
- School name
- Grades
- Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.
