Pizzagalli Brothers Scholarship Program

Angelo, James and Remo Pizzagalli have established a scholarship program to assist the eligible dependents of PC Construction and Pizzagalli Properties employees who wish to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship America ®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants of the Pizzagalli Brothers Scholarship Program award must:

  • Be dependent* children, age 24 and under, of regular full-time employees of PC Construction, Pizzagalli Properties, LLC, and entities in which either company holds at least 50 percent of the voting interest. Employees must have a minimum of 1 year of continuous employment with the company, or at least one year of service reinstated per company policy, as of the application deadline date.
    *Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children, stepchildren, or wards of the employee.
  • Be high school seniors or graduates or current college undergraduates
  • Plan to enroll in full time undergraduate study at an accredited two year or four year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.

Children and descendants of donors to the scholarship fund are not eligible to apply.

Award Information:

  • If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $3,000 scholarship award.
  • Awards are not renewable, however students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
  • Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in late April. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of PC Construction.  Payment is made in one installment in early August.

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of  PC Construction or Pizzagalli Properties, LLC play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

As part of your application, you must upload the following documents:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
    • Student name
    • School name
    • Grades
    • Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are uploading a high school transcript, you must also upload a copy of your SAT or ACT test scores if the test scores are not available on your high school transcript.

Also as part of your application, one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than February 21, 2025 3:00 pm Central Time.
