The Pipe Line Contractors Association (PLCA) Scholarship Foundation, a private foundation established by the PLCA, has established a scholarship program to assist children, stepchildren, or grandchildren of full-time employees of Regular or Associate Members of the PLCA. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited four-year college or university or graduate school of the student’s choice.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.
Applicants to the Pipe Line Contractors Association Scholarship Program must be:
Up to twenty (20) awards of $8,000 scholarships will be awarded for the year.
Two (2) of the twenty scholarships awarded will be made to applicants who have Engineering and/or Construction Management major listed on their application. If there are no applicants with either major listed, these two scholarship will revert back to the original selection process. Annual scholarship awarded are restricted to one per company.
Awards are renewable up to three years on the basis of satisfactory academic performance and maintaining full-time enrollment at a four-year college, university or graduate school. No recipient may receive more than $32,000 in total (including renewals).
Continued affiliation and dependency with a member of the PLCA is not required for continuation of the scholarship.
Awards are for undergraduate and graduate study.
Applicants will be notified in mid-February.
Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of the PLCA Scholarship Foundation. Payments are made in equal installments on early-August and mid-December.

Financial need will not be considered.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer, member or employee of the PLCA play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
The PLCA Scholarship Foundation reserves the right to review the conditions and procedures of this scholarship program and to make changes at any time including termination of the program.
