That’s why we’re pleased to announce The David Bensadoun Pompeian Family Scholarship Program, an initiative that can act as a small stepping-stone in the pursuit of personal enrichment and growth. Our mission of helping people eat and live well extends to our family of farmers and craftsmen and their families. For our team, whether you’re interested in enriching your own education or want to build a brighter tomorrow for your children or grandchildren, The David Bensadoun Pompeian Family Scholarship Program can be instrumental in forging a path to greater success and personal fulfillment.

The David Bensadoun Pompeian Family Scholarship Program is available to all Pompeian Group employees, spouses, children, and grandchildren of employees looking to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the David Bensadoun Pompeian Family Scholarship Program must be:

  • Full- or part-time Pompeian Group domestic employees, spouses, children, or grandchildren of full- or part-time Pompeian Group domestic employees. Employees must be actively employed by Pompeian as of the application deadline and at the time awards are verified
  • Current high school seniors or graduates, current postsecondary undergraduates, or graduate-level students.
  • Planning to enroll in full- or part-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Award Amounts

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award of $1,000 or greater based on the number of qualified applications received.

Financial need will be considered in determining the amount of each award. Potential recipients who do not demonstrate need will be eligible to receive an award at the minimum amount.

Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. Students may receive the scholarship for a maximum of four (4) years.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in July. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Pompeian Group USA LLC. Payments are made in one installment in August.

Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Financial need

Recipients will be selected to represent the diversity of the applicant pool.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Pompeian Group USA LLC play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

  • As part of your application, you must upload a current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
    • Student name
    • School name
    • Grades
    • Credit hours for each course, and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

Your application is not considered complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
