PPD Employee Dependent Scholarship Program
Deadline to apply: May 10, 2021 3:00 pm CT

PPD Inc. I has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational-technical school programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the PPD Employee Dependent Scholarship Program must:

  • Be legal dependent children, dependent stepchildren or children of domestic partners under the age of 25, of current, benefit-eligible employees of PPD, Inc. or any wholly owned subsidiary. The parent must be a current employee of the company, in good standing, with a minimum of two years of continuous service as of the application deadline.
  • Plan to enroll in full-time course of study (12 or more credit hours per semester) leading to a first baccalaureate degree at an accredited two-, three- or four-year college or university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, or its equivalent.

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive and award up to $2,000. Up to twenty (20) awards will be granted. Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. Recipients may receive awards no more than four times total.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

All applicants will be notified in June.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an
online recommendation. Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of PPD Inc. play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of PPD Inc. Payment is made in August.
