Prisma Data, Inc has established a scholarship program to assist high school seniors or graduates, or current college undergraduates who plan to continue their education in college in the U.S. and pursue a degree in Software Engineering.
Prisma helps app developers build scalable applications faster with an open-source database toolkit. Supported by a vibrant 100k+ strong community, Prisma has seen adoption and implementation by some of the most successful companies out there today. With funding from top-tier investors Amplify Partners and Kleiner Perkins, Prisma is now working on making the advanced data infrastructure developed at large tech companies accessible to all application developers around the world.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

The authorized distribution for new awards is $10,000. Up to two (2) awards of $5,000 each will be granted. Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Recipients may be offered future internship and/or employment opportunities with Prisma.
All applicants will be notified in mid June.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Prisma Data, Inc. Payment is made in August.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of educational and career goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an online recommendation.
Financial need is not considered. Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Prisma Data, Inc. play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than April 21, 2022 3:00 pm 3:00 p.m. CT.
