PSAI Scholarship Program

Portable Sanitation Association International has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards for this scholarship are granted to eligible recipients without regard to creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the PSAI Scholarship Program must be:

  • Full-time employees who have a minimum of two (2) years employment, or children or spouses of full-time employees who have a minimum of two (2) years employment at U.S. or international companies that are members in good standing of PSAI.
  • High school seniors or undergraduates who plan to enroll or are currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school. Students working full-time at a PSAI member company and attending school part-time (minimum of 6 credits per semester) are eligible to apply.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, an online recommendation, and an essay*.

Consideration will be given to students attending a two-year or vocational-technical school.

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Portable Sanitation Association International play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in May.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Portable Sanitation Association International. Payment is made in early August.
