The RealReal Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education by attending a college or vocational school program.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.
Applicants to the RealReal Scholars Program must be:
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $2,000 to $5,000. Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance.
The program will be administered in full compliance with IRS Revenue Procedure 76-47.
Awards are not available for graduate level study.
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, an essay and an online recommendation. Financial need will be considered in determining the award amount. While applicants are not required to provide financial information, they may elect to do so to be considered for a higher award amount.
Applicants will be notified in late May. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
