Remedial Construction Services, L.P. (RECON) Founder Scholarship Program
Application status: Closed

Remedial Construction Services L.P. (RECON) was founded in 1989 by Steve Birdwell to meet the growing demand for specialized construction services. Over the years, it has grown to be the industry leader in environmental remediation, geotechnical construction and mine reclamation projects across North America, with a reputation for providing innovative solutions to complex environmental challenges.

The RECON Founder Scholarship was established to honor Steve’s dedication to the company, and to help the children of employees pursue their education. After more than 30 years, we remain thankful and grateful for Steve’s service and the opportunity to offer the renewable scholarship year after year.

The RECON Founder renewable scholarship is offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice. The scholarship is designed to assist the children of employees who plan to continue their education after high school in vocational-technical school, two-year or four-year college. Scholarships are administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and education support programs. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.
