Randstad has established a scholarship program to assist students pursuing STEM-related majors. For the first year of the program, they will be targeting select Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,500 award. Up to eight (8) awards will be granted.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance, full-time course of study and full-time enrollment in an eligible major.

Recipients may be offered a paid internship with Randstad following their freshman, sophomore or junior year of college. (Note: the internship is not required to receive a scholarship, and scholarship recipients are not guaranteed an internship)

All applicants will be notified in March.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Randstad. Payment is made in early August.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of educational and career goals and objectives, a short-answer essay and an online recommendation.

Financial need will be considered. Recipients must demonstrate need.

Assuming there are qualified applicants, preference will be given to underserved students in the field of STEM including women; those individuals with a disability (as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act); those who self-identify as Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino; or American Indian or Alaska Native; and first-generation college students.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Randstad play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload an official copy of those test scores separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

  • Short-answer essay statement of educational and career goals and objectives (1,000 characters)
  • Short-answer essay (1,000 characters)

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than January 25, 2022 3:00 pm CT.

Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.
