Road To Success Scholarship Program
Deadline to apply: May 1, 2024 3:00 pm CT

Vinci Construction USA has established a scholarship program to assist employees’ dependent children or grandchildren who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Road To Success Scholarship Program must:

  • Be grandchildren or dependent* children, age 26 and under, of full-time Vinci Construction USA employees who have a minimum of two years of employment with the company as of the application deadline date.
*Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • Be high school seniors, graduates, or current undergraduate students who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent).

Children of officers are ineligible to apply.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $500 award. Up to six (6) awards will be granted each year. As long as there are qualified applicants, two (2) awards will be granted to applicants from Blythe Construction, Inc. in North Carolina, two (2) awards will be granted to applicants from Hubbard Construction Company in Florida, and two (2) awards will be granted to applicants from Eurovia Atlantic Coast, LLC. If not enough qualified applications are received in any one of the delegations, more awards may be granted in other delegations.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) in a full-time course of study and continued employment of the parent or grandparent at Vinci Construction USA.

No more than one student per employee-family may be granted an award at any given time.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in June. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes Road To Success Scholarship payments on behalf of Vinci Construction USA. Payment is made in one installment in August. The employee must be employed with Vinci Construction USA at the time the award is issued.

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Financial need as calculated by Scholarship America will be considered. Recipients must demonstrate need.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Vinci Construction USA play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than May 6, 2024 3:00 pm Central Time.
