Impact The Future: Scholarship Program

Rocket Companies is very happy to offer scholarships to assist team members’ children who plan to continue education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Impact The Future: Scholarship Program must be:

  • Dependent* children, age 26 and under as of 12/31/2024, of full-time team members from eligible companies** who have a minimum of one year employment with the company as of the application deadline date and who remain employed at the time each payment is issued.
  • High school seniors, graduates, or GED holders who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in a fulltime undergraduate or graduate course of study at an accredited junior/community college, college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the team member’s household or primarily supported by the team member.

**Eligible companies include: Amrock, Amrock Connecticut, Amrock Title Insurance Company, Canton Charge, Cavs Legion GC, Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Monsters, Core Digital Media (Lower My Bills), Detroit Labs, Detroit Venture Partners, Dictionary.com, Forsalebyowner, The Gilbert Family Foundation, Lendesk, One Reverse Mortgage, Pophouse, RKT Holdings, Rock Connections, Rock Holdings Inc., Rock Events, Rock Security, Rock Ventures, Rocket Central, Rocket Central World Wide, Rocket Community Fund, Rocket Homes Real Estate, Rocket Homes Canada, Rocket Innovation Studio, Rocket Money, Rocket Mortgage, Rocket Mortgage Canada, Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, RocketLoans Marketplace, Sift, Supper LLC, Woodward Capital Management, Woodward Original and Zup Household Services.

Award Information:

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $4,000 award. Up to fifteen (15) awards will be granted. Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Limit of one award per household per year. A recipient cannot receive an award in two consecutive years and can receive no more than two awards total.

Awards are for undergraduate or graduate study and must be used for education-related expenses.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Rocket Central. Payments are made in one installment in early August.

Selection of Recipients

Finalists are selected by Scholarship America on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances

The Rocket Companies Scholarship Team will review the finalist information and their essays and select the recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Financial need is not considered.

As part of your application, you must upload the following document:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically through the Scholarship America Student Hub.
