Rocket Farm Restaurants Scholarship

Rocket Farm Restaurants, in partnership with DoorDash, has established a scholarship program to assist employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Rocket Farm Restaurants Scholarship Program must:

  • Be full-time or part-time hourly Rocket Farm Restaurants employees in good standing and who have a minimum of one (1) year continuous employment with the company as of the application deadline date
  • Plan to enroll in full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate study, or eligible certification* at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic term

Nontraditional students are eligible and encouraged to apply.

*Eligible certification programs must be through an accredited institution and must run on a standard academic semester calendar. Certification programs must be a minimum of one semester/term in length and recipients must be enrolled at the time awards are disbursed.

Scholarship awards are for the upcoming semester/term not for reimbursement.

Salaried employees are ineligible.


If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. Awards will be granted based on merit, as follows:

  • One (1) award will be granted in the amount of $5,000 to the highest ranked applicant
  • One (1) award will be granted in the amount of $3,000 to the second highest ranked applicant
  • Three (3) awards will be granted in the amount of $1,000 to the next three highest ranked applicants

Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate and graduate study only.

Rocket Farm University classes are complimentary for all RFR employees and therefore immaterial to this program.


All applicants will be notified in mid to late April.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Rocket Farm Restaurants. Payment is made in early August.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An Essay (1,000 characters)*
  • An online recommendation

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Rocket Farm Restaurants play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

*Essay Topic

Share how the Rocket Farm Restaurants Code of Honor will help you succeed not only in school but in your future career. Provide some examples on how you plan to make a positive impact in your community using your degree or certificate.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken. Contact Scholarship America if you do not have access to your transcript.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than February 5, 2024 3:00 pm Central Time.

Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.
