The Scholarship application will close on Monday, March 8, 2024, or before, once 1,500 applications are fully submitted.
Rockland Trust has established a scholarship program to assist high school seniors or graduates, or GED recipients that reside in one of the following counties: Barnstable, Bristol, Dukes, Essex, Middlesex, Nantucket, Norfolk, Plymouth, Suffolk, or Worcester Counties in Massachusetts; along with Providence County, Rhode Island who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of Rockland Trust, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Rockland Trust Scholarship Program must meet all the following criteria:
*Students who participated in college courses in high school are eligible.
Please note: Rockland Trust employees or immediate family members (e.g., children, siblings, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, etc.) are NOT eligible to apply.
Up to 16 awards of $3,000 each will be granted. Awards are renewable up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance (maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale), part-time or full-time enrollment
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
All applicants will be notified in May.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Rockland Trust. Payment is made in August.

Applicants will be asked to complete financial information referenced here from the most recently completed tax return filed with the IRS. If the student is claimed as a dependent, the financial data must be the parent(s); if the student is independent, the financial data must be the student’s. Recipients must demonstrate need.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Rockland Trust play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
If you are uploading your ACT/SAT scores please include the score sheet as one of your transcription uploads.
