UAW-Ford Rouge Powerhouse Memorial Scholarship Program
Application status: Closed

Ford Motor Company has established a competitive scholarship program to assist UAW-Ford employees’ children who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

The UAW-Ford Rouge Powerhouse Memorial Scholarship Fund is dedicated to the memory and spirit of six brave men who died on February 1, 1999, in a tragic explosion in the Powerhouse at the Ford Rouge Manufacturing Complex in Dearborn, Michigan. This scholarship program has been established to honor their commitment and sacrifice to family and community so their aspirations can continue for generations.
