Rugby Realty Co., Inc. Scholarship Program

Rugby Realty Co., Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist employees’ children who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship America, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Rugby Realty Co., Inc. Scholarship Program must be:

  • Be dependent children, age 25 and under, of full-time Rugby Realty Inc. or its affiliates RexxHall Realty, LLC, DraxxHall Management Corporation, LLC employees who have a minimum of one year employment with the company as of the application deadline date.
  • Be high school seniors or graduates or be current college undergraduates.
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire 2025-2026 academic year.

* Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.

Award Information

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,000 award. Up to two {2} awards will be granted. Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance, full-time enrollment, and continued parental employment.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • academic record
  • demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • work experience
  • statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • unusual personal or family circumstances
  • an online recommendation

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Rugby Realty Co., Inc. play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in April. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of the Rugby Realty Co., Inc. Payment is made in early August to be applied to the full academic year.

Obligations

Recipients have no obligation to Rugby Realty Co., Inc. They are, however, required to notify Scholarship America of any changes in address, school enrollment, or other relevant information and to send a complete transcript when requested.

Revisions

Rugby Realty Co., Inc. reserves the right to review the conditions and procedures of this scholarship program and to make changes at any time including termination of the program.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
    • Student name
    • School name
    • Grades
    • Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

      NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload an official copy of those test scores separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

Also as part of your application, one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than February 10, 2025 3:00 pm Central Time.
