RWC "Plumbing Matters" Scholarship Program

Reliance Worldwide Corporation (RWC) has established a scholarship program to assist students residing in Atlanta, GA who plan to continue their education at a two-year college or vocational-technical school to obtain a plumbing certification.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the RWC “Plumbing Matters” Scholarship must:

  • Currently reside in Atlanta, GA, or within 50 miles of city limits
  • Be high school graduates or those who have obtained their GED, or current vocational-technical students
  • Plan to enroll in full-time study towards plumbing certification at an accredited two-year college or vocational-technical school in the U.S. for the entire 2025 spring semester/term

Employees of RWC are ineligible.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 award. Up to two (2) awards will be granted.

Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards can be used for any education-related expenses.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in December.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of RWC. Payment is made in January.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Responses to the following questions:
    • Statement of educational and career goals and objectives
    • Describe a significant academic or personal achievement and its impact on your life
    • Unusual personal or family circumstances (if applicable)
  • An online recommendation

Financial need, as calculated by Scholarship America, must be demonstrated for the student to receive an award.

Scholarship America will select up to five (5) finalists, and selection of recipients is made by RWC. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than November 4, 2024 3:00 pm Central Time.
