San Antonio Area Foundation Scholarship Program – Common Application Instructions
Award amounts and other award details are dependent upon each scholarship fund.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of the criteria documented in each scholarship fund. See details here.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America for all programs.
In no instance does any officer or employee of the San Antonio Area Foundation play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decisions as final.
All applicants will be notified in late April via email from saafdn@scholarshipamerica.org.
If you are selected as a recipient, failure to accept the award by the deadline stated in the email means your scholarship will be forfeited and no further action will be taken.
Checks for the full award amount will be mailed from the San Antonio Area Foundation to each recipient’s school before the fall semester.
As part of your application, you must upload a current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.
High school seniors or students who have completed less than one full term of postsecondary education, submit your high school transcript. If applicable, provide your SAT/ACT scores if they are not included on your transcript. (A clear explanation of the high school’s grading scale must also be submitted.)
Students currently or previously enrolled in college or vocational-technical school, submit your college or vo-tech transcripts from each school attended.
Each scholarship program has its own criteria and eligibility requirements. You may be asked to provide additional documents later in the application process. See details here to determine if additional documents will be required.
Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.
