The SAGE Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist full-time U.S. Team Members’ children who plan to continue their education at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.
Applicants to the SAGE Scholars Grant must:
Children of VPs and above are ineligible to apply.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
Financial need, as calculated by Scholarship America, will be considered and financial information must be provided for the student to receive an award. Preference will be given to students who are seeking their first postsecondary degree.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. Officers and/or employees of The SAGE Foundation and SAGE Dining Services® will have no involvement whatsoever in the selection of recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,500 award. Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent, in a full-time course of study.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Applicants will be notified in late April. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Checks or electronic funds transfers are made payable to the applicable educational institution from Scholarship America on behalf of the scholarship recipient. Payments are made in one installment in early August.
