SAIC offers a scholarship program to assist employees’ children who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the SAIC Scholarship Program for Employees’ Children must be:

  • Dependent* children, age 24 and under, of current full-time employees scheduled to work 30 hours or more per week or legacy Unisys Federal/fringe 25 employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours a week in a benefits-eligible fringe package are eligible. Union employee eligibility is defined in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren and children for whom the employee is the full legal guardian living with the employee in a parent-child relationship and dependent upon the employee for support, as defined by SAIC’s Eligible Dependent Policy.
  • High school seniors or graduates or students who will be enrolled in full-time undergraduate studies (as defined by each educational institution) at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the United States for Spring 2021 semester.

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,000 award. Up to twenty (20) awards will be granted.

Awards are one time only and past recipients may not reapply. Non-recipients may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic performance,  demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of career and educational goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an online recommendation.

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of SAIC play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.  All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

All applicants will be notified in October.
