Robot Appreciation Society Scholarship Program

Tyler and Joyce Schilling have established the Robot Appreciation Society Scholarship Program to assist TechnipFMC Schilling Robotics employees’ children who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

This program is only offered to TechnipFMC Schilling Robotics employees’ children and selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does Tyler or Joyce Schilling or any officer or employee of TechnipFMC Schilling Robotics play a part in the selection, nor is the program supported and connected in any way to TechnipFMC.

This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship America® is the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

All information submitted is kept confidential and only accessible by Scholarship America Representatives.

Applicants to the Robot Appreciation Society Scholarship Program must be:

  • Children, age 26 and under, of full-time (40 hours per week) TechnipFMC Schilling Robotics employees who have a minimum of one (1) year of employment with the company as January 31, 2024.
  • High school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $3,000 to $10,000 U.S. currency. Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study, continued employment of the student’s parent at TechnipFMC, and continuation of the program by Tyler and Joyce Schilling. Awards may be used for tuition, books and fees.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in late March. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes Robot Appreciation Society scholarship payments on behalf of Tyler and Joyce Schilling. Payments are made in equal installments in mid-August and mid-December.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic Record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Award amounts are determined based on school costs.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does Tyler or Joyce Schilling or any officer or employee of TechnipFMC Schilling Robotics play a part in the selection, nor is the program supported and connected in any way to TechnipFMC. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload an official copy of those test scores separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than February 5, 2024 3:00 pm Central Time.
