Prometheus Scholarship Program
Deadline to apply: May 13, 2021 3:00 pm CT

Prometheus Real Estate Group, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist employee’s children who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards for this scholarship are granted to eligible recipients without regard to creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the Prometheus Scholarship Program must be:

  • Dependent* children, age 26 and under, of full-time Prometheus (domestic) employees who have a minimum of one year of employment with the company as of the application deadline.
*Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • High school seniors or graduates or current undergraduates.
  • Planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Current Prometheus employees may not receive both the Prometheus Scholarship and Employer Tuition Reimbursement in the same academic year.

Applicants may receive only one Prometheus Scholarship within the last 3 years. If an applicant has received a scholarship from Prometheus within the last 3 years, they will not be eligible.

Children of officers (vice president level and above) are not eligible to apply.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $4,000 award. Up to four (4) awards will be granted. Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements, provided they have not received the award in prior 3 years.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an online recommendation.

Financial need as calculated by Scholarship America must be demonstrated for the student to receive an award.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Prometheus Real Estate Group, Inc. play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in June. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
