Sealed Air Corporation has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarship recipients are offered renewable scholarships for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree or certificate is earned, whichever comes first.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the Sealed Air Corporation Scholarship Program must:
Children of employees or officers who earn base salaries of $150,000 or more and children of employees who earn base salaries of $150,000 or more are ineligible to apply. Applicants must be eligible both at the time they apply and at the time the awards are announced.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $500 to $2,500. Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree or certificate is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study, continued employment of the student’s parent at Sealed Air Corporation and continuation of the program by Sealed Air Corporation.
Awards will be granted to an estimated 40% of the applicants.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
All applicants will be notified in July.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Sealed Air Corporation. Payment is made in August.
Financial need will be considered in determining the size of the award. Students who do not demonstrate financial need or whose parents choose not to supply the requested financial information may be eligible to receive an honorarium at the minimum award amount.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Sealed Air Corporation play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
