The Strick Family Scholarship Program

Service By Medallion has established The Strick Family Scholarship Program to assist active Service By Medallion employees and their dependent children who plan to continue their education in college.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age,  gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants of The Strick Family Scholarship Program must:

  • Be a dependent* child, age 24 and under, of active, full-time Service By Medallion employees (not on leave of absence).
    *Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • OR

  • Be a Service By Medallion active employee (not on leave of absence) who is in good standing with the company.


  • Plan to enroll in part-time (6 credits minimum) or full-time undergraduate or graduate level study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Dependent children must be high school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four- year college, university, or vocational-technical school.

Members or members’ employees must plan to enroll or already be enrolled in a part-time or full-time undergraduate course of study (minimum three credit hours) at an accredited two- or four- year college, university, or vocational-technical school.

Up to four (4) awards will be granted as follows:

  • The Strick Family Award: One award of $5,000 will be granted to the top applicant.
  • Medallion 365 Thrive Award: Three awards of $3,550 will be granted to the next three top applicants.

Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate study only

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • academic performance
  • demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • work experience
  • statement of goals and aspirations
  • unusual personal or family circumstances
  • an online recommendation

Scholarship America, an independent third party administrator, is responsible for the selection based on the criteria stated above. In no instance does any officer or employee of Service By Medallion play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.


Applicants will be notified in July. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Service By Medallion. Awards will be paid in one installment in August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following documents:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken

Also as part of your application, one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf.

Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
