Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Recipients will be selected from a pool of qualified applicants with consideration given to those who demonstrate the greatest financial need.

Selection criteria will include the consideration of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, including active participation in the Mentor Foundation USA’s Career Mentoring or Youth Ambassador programs, work experience, a statement of career and educational goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an online recommendation from an adult not related to the applicant.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Structured Finance Foundation or Mentor Foundation USA play a part in the selection.  Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.  All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
