Shady Canyon Golf Club, in partnership with the Orange County Community Foundation, has established a scholarship program to assist employees and their dependent children who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the Shady Canyon Golf Club Scholarship Program must:
OR
Recipients attending a two-year college school (full-time or part-time) are eligible to receive $5,000. Recipients attending a four-year college or graduate school (full-time or part-time) are eligible to receive $15,000- $25,000. Recipients attending vocational technical or trade schools full-time or part-time are eligible to receive $10,000- $12,000.
Financial need will be considered as a factor, but shall not be the sole factor in making determinations of recipients. Recipients who are enrolling to 2 year and 4 year undergraduate colleges and vocational/trade schools will have preference over graduate programs.
Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Awards are for undergraduate (two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school) and graduate study. Scholarship funds may only be applied toward tuition, books, fees, and other related educational expenses.
All applicants will be notified in June.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Orange County Community Foundation. Payments are made in one installment in early August. The award check is made payable to your educational institution and is added to your financial aid package. If your full cost of attendance has been met through other scholarships or grants, your scholarship award may be rescinded.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
