Shibaura Machine Co., America has established a scholarship program to assist students who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs to pursue an industrial maintenance or plastics processing program of study.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards for this scholarship are granted to eligible recipients without regard to creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or national origin.
Applicants to the Shibaura Machine Co., America Scholarship Program must meet the following criteria:
*Examples of approved majors include, but are not limited to: Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Machine Shop Technician.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,500 award. Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
All applicants will be notified in July.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Shibaura Machine Co., America. Payment is made in early August.
Scholarship finalists are selected on the basis of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an online recommendation. Financial need is not considered.
Selection of finalists is made by Scholarship America, and Shibaura Machine Co., America determines the recipients. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
