Applicants to The Simpson PSB Scholarship Program must be:

• Dependent* children, age 26 and under, of full-time Simpson Manufacturing Company and its subsidiary employees who have a minimum of two years of employment as of the application deadline. Employees in Canada are eligible for the program.
  *Dependent children are defined as those eligible for medical benefits.

AND

• High school seniors or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates, who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

OR

• College undergraduates or graduates who plan to enroll or who are already enrolled in a full-time accredited graduate course of study.

Dependent children of Senior Leadership Team employees are not eligible to participate in this program.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,500 award.

Awards are renewable up to three years for undergraduates and two years for graduate students on the basis of satisfactory academic performance and continued parental employment. Undergraduate recipients must reapply for a graduate level scholarship. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study and continuation of the program by Simpson Manufacturing Co., Inc.

Awards are for undergraduate or graduate study.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

• Academic record
• Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
• Work experience
• A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
• Unusual personal or family circumstances
• An online recommendation

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Simpson Manufacturing Co., Inc. play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in June.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Simpson Manufacturing Co., Inc. Payment is made in August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

• A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
• Student name
• School name
• Grades
• Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than April 17, 2025 3:00 pm Central Time.
