SOPREMA has established a scholarship program to assist students pursuing a degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or a similar field at an accredited four-year college or university. SOPREMA is an international manufacturer of building envelope and civil engineering construction materials. SOPREMA’s offerings provide solutions for roofing, waterproofing and wall protection. The program is administered by Scholarship America, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability or national origin.
Applicants of the SOPREMA Scholarship Program award must be:
SOPREMA employees and their family members are ineligible.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award in the amount of $5,000. Up to four (4) awards will be granted. Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Awards are for undergraduate and graduate study only.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, essay, and an online recommendation. Financial need is not considered.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of SOPREMA play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Applicants will be notified mid-May. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of SOPREMA. Payments are made in one installment in early August.
