We are proud to announce The Suburban Collection Scholarship Program. The scholarship program was established to assist children of employees and to thank those who have helped to build The Suburban Collection.
The scholarship program a.k.a “Suburban Scholars” has been designed to give something back to the men and women who have contributed so much time and energy to the success of The Suburban Collection. The program benefits children of full-time employees who plan to pursue post-secondary education in college and vocational programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at any accredited institution of the student’s choice.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.
Thanks for making the choice!
Applicants to The Suburban Collection Scholarship Program must be:
Two-year college and vocational-technical school students are encouraged to apply.
Children of the Fischer Family and Senior Management Team are ineligible to participate in the program.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $4,000 award. Up to 25 awards will be granted each year. Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, potential to succeed, work experience, honors, and demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities. A statement of education and career goals and an outside appraisal are also required. Financial need is not considered.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of The Suburban Collection play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Applicants will be notified in May. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of The Suburban Collection. Payments are made in equal installments in August and December.
Recipients have no obligation to The Suburban Collection. They are, however, required to notify Scholarship America of any changes in address, school enrollment, or other relevant information, and to send a complete official transcript when requested.
The Suburban Collection reserves the right to review the conditions and procedures of this scholarship program and to make changes at any time including termination of the program.
