Synoptek Scholarship Program

Synoptek, LLC has established a scholarship program to assist spouses/legal partners, children, and grandchildren of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Eligibility Requirements for the Synoptek Scholarship Program are:

  • Applicant must be a high school senior or graduate or current postsecondary undergraduate.
  • Applicant must be one of the following status:
    • A spouse/legal partner of a full-time Synoptek employee who has been employed for a minimum of six (6) months by the application deadline.
    • A child, step child, legal dependent child, or grandchild of a full-time Synoptek employee who has been employed a minimum of six (6) months by the application deadline date.
  • Applicant must enroll in full or part-time undergraduate study at an accredited two or four year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire 2024-2025 academic year.
  • Synoptek Employee must be in good employment standing with Synoptek when the award is paid in August 2024.

 

Award Information:

  • If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 award. Up to two (2) awards will be granted.
  • Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
  • Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • An online recommendation
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Synoptek, LLC play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

All applicants will be notified by Scholarship America in July, regardless of their award status. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Synoptek, LLC. Synoptek employees must be employed by and in good standing with Synoptek, LLC at the time the awards are paid. Payment is made in one installment in early August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following documents:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken

    NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than May 22, 2024 3:00 pm Central Time.
