TACP Association Scholarship Program

The TACP Association has established a scholarship program to assist current or retired TACPs or their immediate family members who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

This program is administered by Scholarship America┬«, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.


Applicants to the TACP Association Scholarship Program must be:


  • Current or retired TACPs or immediate family
  • High school seniors or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduate or graduate students, who plan to enroll in full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year


Award Information


  • If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award in the amount of $3,000
  • Up to four (4) awards will be granted
  • Awards are one-time only
  • Awards are for undergraduate and graduate study only




Applicants will be notified in late-January. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.


Payment of Scholarships


Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of the TACP Association. Awards will be distributed in early-August.


Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:


  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Statement of goals and aspirations
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of the TACP Association play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.


As part of your application, you must upload the following documents:


  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken

Also as part of your application, one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf by 3:00 p.m. CT on December 5, 2019.
