Application status: Closed

Twin Cities Roofing Contractors Association/Roofing Industry Fund of MN has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Twin Cities Roofing Contractors Association Scholarship Program must be:

  • Dependent* children, age 25 and under, of full-time roofing employees working under the Local 96 Labor Agreement for TCRCA members and contributors. Employees must have a minimum of two years employment with a member and/or contributor of the TCRCA, as of application deadline date and must remain employed at the time the award is paid. If the employee terminates employment for any reason, the student will not be eligible for the scholarship award for the following semester. If the employee parent has been laid off but is available to return to work, the applicant is eligible to receive the scholarship.

*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.

  • High school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at either an accredited two- or four-year college or a university, or an accredited vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year. The course of study must lead to a certificate, associate, or bachelor‘s degree.

Children of office employees, management, and owners are ineligible to participate in this program.
