TE Connectivity has established a scholarship program to assist high school seniors who are members of a FIRST Team who plan to continue their education in college.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the TE Connectivity FIRST Scholarship Program must meet all of the following criteria:
Children of TE Connectivity vice presidents and above are ineligible to apply.
Up for four (4) awards of $2, 500 each will be granted to students planning to attend an accredited 4-year college or university. Up to ten (10) awards of $1,000 each will be granted to students planning to attend a technical school, vocational school, or community college. Awards are one-time only. Past recipients may not reapply.
Assuming there are qualified applicants, approximately half of the awards will be granted to students underrepresented in the STEM field.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Applicants will be notified in July. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of TE Connectivity. Payment is made in one installment in early August.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an online recommendation.
Assuming there are qualified applicants, the diversity of recipients will reflect the diversity of the applicant pool.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of TE Connectivity play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically through the Scholarship America Student Hub.
