Norman M. Fain Scholarship Program
Application status: Closed

The Teknor Apex Company has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Norman M. Fain Scholarship Program must be:

  • Dependent* children, age 25 and under, of full-time Teknor Apex employees (all companies) who have a minimum of one year of employment as of the application deadline.
*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • High school seniors/final year of secondary school or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates, who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Awards

The authorized total distribution for awards is $25,000. Typically, ten (10) recipients have been selected to receive $2,500 each. The award shall not exceed the cost of tuition, books, and fees. Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. At least one recipient will be selected from each sister company and at least 50% of recipients will be selected from the children of hourly employees, provided qualified applicants are received.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

All applicants will be notified by mid-April.
