thyssenkrupp Materials has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college, vocational school (or equivalent), or CEGEP programs.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the thyssenkrupp Dependent Scholarship Program must:
Children of Graded (L1-L3) Executive Employees are ineligible.
Selected students attending a four-year college/university (or equivalent) will be awarded $5,000. Selected students attending a two-year college/university or vocational/trade school (or equivalent) or CEGEP will be awarded $2,500.
The authorized distribution for new awards is up to $100,000.
Provided there are qualified applicants at least 5 awards will be awarded to students attending a two-year school or vocational/technical school (or equivalent) or CEGEP.
Provided there are qualified applicants, recipients will be selected in proportion to the number of applicants per country.
Award amounts are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) and Canadian dollars (CAD), and award payments will be issued in the currency of the applicant (USD or CAD) depending on the location of their college or university.
Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
All applicants will be notified in March.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of thyssenkrupp directly to the applicant’s school. Payments are made in early August.

Financial need is not considered.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of thyssenkrupp Materials play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
*Academic evaluation will include a review of the grade/mark average based on the grading system used in the applicant’s country and a review of the results of academic examinations.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
