TotalEnergies Petrochemicals & Refining USA, Inc. and TotalEnergies American Services, Inc. have an established scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards for this scholarship are granted to eligible recipients without regard to creed, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
Applicants to the TotalEnergies Petrochemicals & Refining USA, Inc. and TotalEnergies American Services, Inc. Scholarship Program must be:

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $500 to $3,000. Financial data is reviewed to determine the amount of each award. Qualified students demonstrating no financial need as calculated by Scholarship America or whose parents choose not to supply the requested financial information will be eligible to receive a minimum award only. The minimum award of $500 is considered an honorarium and granted for one-time only.
Renewable awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study and except in the case of dependents of retired or deceased employees, the continued employment of the student’s parent at TotalEnergies Petrochemicals & Refining USA, Inc. or TotalEnergies American Services, Inc. The recipient must also continue to be a dependent of the employee.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
All applicants will be notified in July.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of TotalEnergies Petrochemicals & Refining USA, Inc. and TotalEnergies American Services, Inc. Payments are made in August and December.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of educational and career goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an online recommendation. Once scholarship recipients are selected, financial data is reviewed to determine the amount of each award.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of TotalEnergies Petrochemicals & Refining USA, Inc. or TotalEnergies American Services, Inc. play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final. Recipients of honorariums may not apply for future awards.
