Trane Technologies Charitable Foundation Scholarship Program
Application status: Closed

The Trane Technologies Charitable Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Trane Technologies Charitable Foundation Scholarship Program must:

  • Dependent* children of full-time U.S. or International Trane Technologies employees who are employed with the company as of the application deadline.
*Dependent children refers to natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren of the employee as well as if the employee is their legal guardian or domestic partner parent. The employee must qualify for benefits provided by the company.
  • High school seniors/final year secondary school students or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates, who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year. College seniors, graduating in December of the current year, are eligible to apply to the program.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,500 USD award. Up to 60 awards will be granted. A student may receive an award a maximum of four times. Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in June.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of the Trane Technologies Charitable Foundation. Payment is made in early August.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Financial need
  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation.

Applicants must complete the financial data section of the application to receive an award. Financial need as calculated by Scholarship America must be demonstrated for the student to receive an award.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Trane Technologies or the Trane Technologies Charitable Foundation play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

As part of your application, you must upload a current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

Due to differences in educational systems, applicants from countries other than the U.S. and Canada must provide the following educational documents:

  • Students currently or previously enrolled in an institution of higher education (university) must include their academic record (transcript of grades) of all higher education coursework completed and their secondary school credentials/diploma/certificate.
  • Current secondary school students and students who have completed less than one year of higher education (university) must include their academic record (transcript of grades) for all secondary education course work completed during the past three years, and results of academic examinations.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than April 4, 2024 3:00 pm Central Time.
