The Association of Philippe du Trieux Descendants Scholarship Program (Trieux Descendants Scholarship Program) has been established to assist lineal descendants of Philippe du Trieux who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability or national origin.
*Eligible programs of study include agriculture, food sciences, or biological sciences as they relate to animals and plants.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,000 award. Up to four (4) awards will be granted. Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years, or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is also contingent upon the student maintaining a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent, and continued enrollment in an approved field of study.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
All applicants will be notified in late May. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of the Association of Philippe du Trieux Descendants. Payment is made in early August.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of past academic performance, leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, statement of career and educational aspirations and goals, unusual personal or family circumstances, an online recommendation, and a brief statement on how the applicant plans to pay for college and what they have done to earn money.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. The Association of Philippe du Trieux Descendants verifies the lineal descendant criteria. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than April 2, 2021 3:00 pm CT.
Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
