Truist expects recipients will apply (other circumstances notwithstanding) for a compensated annual internship at Truist at some time during the school year or summer but cannot guarantee the recipient’s selection.

Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate and graduate study.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship America will select 12 finalists on the basis of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal.

From the pool of finalists, Truist Financial Corporation will select recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Preference will be given to students who demonstrate interest in banking, risk management, cyber or digital forensics as evidenced by activities, academic studies, etc.

Financial need is not considered.

All applicants will be notified in August.
