Truist Financial Corporation has established a scholarship program to assist current undergraduate and graduate students who plan to continue their education at an accredited college or university in the Raleigh/Charlotte, North Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia areas.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.
Applicants to the Truist Cyber Innovation Scholarship Program must meet all of the following criteria:
Children of officers of Truist are ineligible to apply.
Scholarship America will select 12 finalists on the basis of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of educational and career goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an online recommendation.
From the pool of finalists, Truist Financial Corporation will select recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
Preference will be given to students who demonstrate interest in banking, risk management, cyber or digital forensics as evidenced by activities, academic studies, etc.
Financial need is not considered.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $1,000 to $10,000.
Truist expects recipients will apply (other circumstances notwithstanding) for a compensated annual internship at Truist at some time during the school year or summer but cannot guarantee the recipient’s selection.
Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Awards are for undergraduate and graduate study.
All applicants will be notified in August.
