Curtis and Sandra Fuller Scholarship Program

Doug and Cindy Sanders have established a scholarship program to assist full-time and part-time Truno Retail Technology employees and their children who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the Curtis and Sandra Fuller Scholarship Program must:

  • Be full-time or part-time employees of Truno Retail Technology who has a minimum of one year of employment with the company as of the application deadline date.

OR

  • Be a dependent* child, age 25 and under, of a full-time or part-time Truno Retail Technology employee who has a minimum of one year of employment as of the application deadline.
    *Dependent child is defined as biological, step- or legally adopted child living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • Be a high school senior or graduate, or current postsecondary undergraduate, who plans to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).

Award Information:

  • If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award in the amount of $4,000.
  • Up to ten (10) awards will be granted.
  • Awards are not renewable, however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
  • Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic performance
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Statement of goals and aspirations
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does Doug and Cindy Sanders or any officer or employee of Truno Retail Technology play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification
Applicants will be notified in July. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Doug and Cindy Sanders. Payments are made in one installment in early August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following documents:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

Also as part of your application, one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf by 3:00 p.m. Central Time on May 21, 2019.

Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
