Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods has established a scholarship program to assist children of associates who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods Scholarship Program must be:
Children of officers and executives are ineligible.
Household income (adjusted gross income) must be less than $75,000.
First generation students are encouraged to apply.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 award. Up to 5 awards will be granted. Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance (maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale) in a full-time course of study and continuation of the program by Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
All applicants will be notified in March.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods. Payment is made in August.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
Financial need will be considered using household income (AGI). Recipients must have an AGI of less than $75,000.
Award must be used for qualified education-related expenses only – tuition, fees, books, and required supplies.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
